Why do my orchid leaves look wilted?

Wilted leaves can be a sign either of underwatering or overwatering. Wrinkling is a sign of not enough water getting to the leaves; underwatering obviously causes this, but overwatering can too if it causes root rot. Root rot means that the leaves can’t get enough water, paradoxically causing similar symptoms to underwatering.
