What does a new orchid stalk look like?

A new orchid stalk looks like a small, green bud growing out of the orchid’s stem (the part where all the leaves come from). It will gradually grow larger and turn into a flower spike. If you see a small, green bud on your orchid, leave it alone and let it grow on its own!
