Do orchids like to be planted together?

No, orchids do not like to be planted together. They want their roots to be able to spread out and get plenty of air. If you plant them too close together, then they will start to compete for resources which isn’t good for either plant. And if it ever comes time to separate them, they will be difficult to untangle.
