Can I repot an orchid in regular potting soil?

It is possible to repot an orchid in regular potting soil, but it’s not recommended. Potting soil is too dense and will not allow the roots to breathe. Sphagnum moss is a better potting mix for orchids; coconut bark isn’t so bad either. If you do repot your orchid into normal potting soil, water it much less frequently.
