Where do you trim orchids?
There are only occasional times when you need to trim an orchid:
- When its roots have turned brown, mushy, black, or papery, you can trim them off
- When its leaves are a light brown and completely dried out, you can trim them away
- When its flower spike is completely brown, it won’t rebloom and you can trim it; but to encourage growth in leaves or roots, you can trim a flower spike at any time
