What is the proper way to water orchids?

The best way to water an orchid is by soaking it. Place the orchid’s outer pot in a sink or bowl of water, and let it sit for about 15 minutes. This will give the roots time to absorb the water. Then, allow the plant to drain thoroughly before putting it back in its outer pot. Orchids should only be watered when the potting mix is dry to the touch and your orchid’s roots are silvery, not green.
