What is the life cycle of an orchid?

Orchids begin life as seeds. Once the seeds germinate, they will grow into a small plant called a seedling. The seedling will then grow into a larger plant called an orchid. However, orchids can also reproduce by growing new plants called keikis from their stems or from old flower spikes; this is how commercially sold orchids are grown.
