Should I cut the brown stem off my orchid?

A brown flower spike is dead or dying. If it’s entirely brown, then yes, cut it off. If only the top part of it is brown, cut it back to just above a living node and it may re-bloom. Or, cut the entire thing off and encourage your plant to grow an entirely new flower spike.
