How do you know when to water an orchid?

The best way to know when to water an orchid is by feeling the potting mix. If it feels dry to the touch, it may be time to water it.  

Take the inner pot out of the outer pot and check whether you can see any moisture inside it. If it’s still wet, and the roots look bright green with silver spots, yellow, brown or black, you don’t need to water your orchid. If they look silvery, it’s time to water it.
