How do I know if my orchid needs water?

If the potting mix is wet and the roots are green, your orchid doesn’t need water. If the potting mix is dry but the roots are still green, your orchid still doesn’t need water. If the mix is dry and the roots are silvery or at least white, it’s watering time. You can also check the weight of the pot: if it feels light, it means the potting mix is dry and you should water your plant.
