How cold is too cold for orchids?

A temperature of 50-80° F (10-27° C) is best, although your orchid will be fine if it gets briefly hotter or colder. A good rule of thumb is that so long as the orchid isn’t in direct sunlight, and as long as its leaves don’t get frosty, any temperature is fine.
