Can I plant orchids outside?

No, you shouldn’t. Phalaenopsis orchids don’t grow in soil, but clinging to the sides of trees or rocks, so thick and claggy soil makes their roots rot. Besides that, orchids are tropical plants, and they need the warm humid conditions of their natural habitat to thrive. They will not survive outside in most climates.
