Can I cut the bottom leaves off my orchid?

If the leaves are green, it’s better for your plant to leave them. Doing so would be bad either because it may cause infection and tissue death, and because it won’t be able to photosynthesize as well. If you want to cut them anyway, do so with sharp, sterilised scissors and treat the wound afterwards with something antifungal and antibacterial to prevent infection.
