Are used coffee grounds good for orchids?

While coffee grounds contain lots of minerals that orchids would like, we don’t recommend using them. That’s because they are claggy and will stick to your orchid’s roots, potentially providing them with too much water. Instead, mix orchid food with your orchid’s water and feed it that; orchid food contains the exact right mix of minerals, and won’t throw off the amount of water your orchid’s mix holds onto.
